Note - Family Story		According to her granddaughter, Susie Marvel, "Grandma once told me that she did not like her middle name Augusta, so her mother told her that she could pick out a new middle name, and she picked Gertrude. She told me something along the lines of her mother told her that since her middle name wasn't really recorded anywhere (Grandma adding that in those old days they didn't really keep track of things like that), she could just keep the new middle name."

While it is certain that the names listed above are correct does this hold a clue on Fredericka's family? Is it possible she had an additional name? (It was common to have three first names in Germany in this period.) R2   Marriage license issued by Elkhart County, Indaina, yet family papers list marriage as in South Bend. Continue to look for newspaper account of ceremony, as well as determine address of brother. R3   Did Ella really attend school? If so, where? R4   Verify place of death with death record and/or obituary. R5   Obtain name of cemetery.
